In 2023 we won a competitive tender to become the British Film Institute's social media content partner for the London Film Festival. Across the festival we captured content from 30+ events including red carpet premieres, gala screenings, Q&As and the Surprise film as well as supporting the LFF's Expanded and free programmes.
With the remit to ensure that a diverse audience were able to experience first hand the spectacular festival via the BFI's social media platforms, we used a hybrid model of roaming cameras on red carpets and fixed cameras in media lines and screenings to bring a varied suite of content to the audience. With on-site editors working in real time we delivered content from media line interviews for posting within 20 minutes of the event starting and simultaneously ran overnight edits to create event sizzle reels the following day to give the audience first hand content in a timely and relevant way.
Working with presenters and influencers across the two week programme, we delivered a compelling, engaging and varied experience across Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok and YouTube which collectively told the story of 2023's London Film Festival. We are delighted to have been reappointed for #LFF2024 and are well underway with planning to produce bigger, better and ever more compelling materials for the BFI's social media audience in celebration of British and global films and filmmakers.
