In anticipation of the launch of Halo Season " on Paramount+, our challenge was to reignite core Halo audiences of their passion and loyalty to the Halo franchise as the new season approaches. Focusing on authentic storytelling, enriching engagement with the Halo lore, and presenting exclusive content we were tasked to celebrate and elevate their fandom, to ensure the successful launch and reception of "Halo Season 2" on Paramount+ whilst addressing some concerns of the Halo lore from Season 1.
Solution
In addressing the challenge of launching "Halo Season 2" on Paramount+, we adeptly positioned the series as an exhilarating high-action Sci-Fi Drama, targeting not only the existing fans but also a wider opportunity audience to significantly broaden viewership. To re-engage the core Halo fanbase, we tasked influencer to showcase that the core audience feedback was not only heard but integral to the new series’ development, thus reinforcing their commitment to the franchise.
After our audience development and research, we selected influences within the Gaming, VFX/Cosplay/Fan Art, and Sci-Fi TV Fan communities, who played a pivotal role in appealing to diverse audience segments with their authentic and engaging content. Crucially, the influencers’ content served as a cornerstone in the paid media strategy of our campaign, amplifying reach and engagement. This content was distributed over a carefully structured 7-week phased approach — Bridge, Launch, and Sustain — designed to steadily build anticipation, optimise the impact at launch, and sustain interest in "Halo Season 2" post launch. This strategy ensured that "Halo Season 2" not only met the expectations of long-standing fans but also captivated new viewers, reinforcing its position as a landmark series in the Sci-Fi Drama genre on Paramount+.
