Carlsberg 0.0 x Liverpool FC

We created engaging social content for Carlsberg 0.0 in collaboration with Liverpool FC, launching ahead of the much-anticipated Premier League clash between Liverpool and Chelsea. The goal was to integrate the Carlsberg 0.0 brand into dynamic, fan-focused content while building excitement for the fixture.

Inspired by the frequent 0-0 scorelines between the two clubs, we developed the playful “The Only 0.0 We Want” campaign, delivered through two creative content strands.

The Chat

A relaxed, laid back discussion featuring Liverpool legends Robbie Fowler, David James, and Becky Easton. The trio explored iconic 0-0 moments, shared match memories, and predicted the game’s outcome, sparking engagement and connecting fans to the campaign.

The Challenge

A penalty shootout where Robbie and Becky tried to score against David James, supported by 10 Liverpool FC staff defending the goal line. Captured with multiple cameras and GoPros, this light-hearted, competitive showdown delivered highly shareable content showcasing Carlsberg 0.0’s fun and spirited brand essence.

The campaign, distributed across Liverpool FC’s and Carlsberg’s social platforms with a combined reach of 45.4 million, generated buzz and anticipation for the match. Even The Drum featured the campaign, spotlighting its creative impact.

While Liverpool ultimately broke the 0-0 trend with a 4-1 win, the campaign successfully blended humour, sport, and brand integration, leaving fans excited and entertained.
